Introducing David Stanfield
David, the Person
David is 40 years old and happily married. His wife, Marta Flores, is a Spanish lady he met while working at the
Universal Exposition of 1992 in Seville, Spain. Christopher John, their firstborn son, is three years old. Elizabeth
Jane was born in February 2003.
David was born in Mauritius, and lived in England, Mexico, and Guatemala, before moving to Australia in 1972.
He has lived in Sydney and Brisbane and now on the edge of the Great Dividing Range in Toowoomba.
David has trained in Adult Education, Change Management and Communication and holds a Bachelor's and a Master's
Degree in Agricultural Science. He worked as a Facilitator, Trainer and Change Advocate in the Queensland Department
of Primary Industries for nine years. When he discovered that the demand for his style of facilitation and training
was beginning to interfere with his "official" role, he launched out freelance.
David founded "Out of Our Minds" in March 1998 and has thrived on a steady flow on word-of-mouth demand
for his services, from Melbourne to Cairns, since then.
He spends his spare time coordinating a city-wide community group called "A Bunch of Christians," which
presents large community events on behalf of the Churches of Toowoomba.
David enjoys working with people!
What people are saying
"David Stanfield is probably the best facilitator I've seen and you will learn a lot from watching this guy,
he puts adult learning and action learning into practice. One of the best presenters in the business, David will
ensure your event is thoroughly enjoyable, and that you get the most out of the opportunity."
